TALK about what was happening for you, listen to what was happening to them. Hold back your judgements and share the air.
ASK questions of each other to gain the story and challenge assumptions. Support each other to see the situation in a new light. Encourage each other to consider different perspectives.
LOOK at options together. Solve problems which were on your mind in ways you hadn’t considered. Push past technical solutions and confront adaptive ones.
KICK ASS together. That’s what happens when you can TALK to others in a way which shows respect, interest and provides them with the support they need to put in place solutions which work for them.
Most of the time we communicate to contribute not to comprehend.
When you next set up a conversation see if they are happy to chat or if they would prefer to TALK.
