How rubbish was your first job?

Last week my daughter got a rubbish job.

But she was actually quite happy about it.

She took on a temp role at Field Days.

She was not sure what to expect.

She ended up spending two days sorting trash.

All the bin bags were collected, emptied and then sorted into recyclable, compostable and disposable elements.

A job which was apparently occasionally squelchy, but ended up being generally engaging and satisfying.

I didn’t know they did that, and am impressed that they employed youngsters to do it.

I would like to give the organisers of Field Days a gold star for looking out for our future generations, through employment, and good waste management.
