Parenting Gets Personal!

Two girls dressed in pink walking towards the camera.

Although the stories follow my daughters through different ages and stages, many of the ideas overlap. Some concepts in later books would have been incredibly helpful earlier on, and some of the early guidelines still help me refocus when parenting the older versions of my girls.

The world keeps changing, but the fundamentals remain:

  • communicating well

  • building resilience

  • creating memories

  • coping with change

  • understanding ourselves and our children

These skills matter — for every parent, in every season.

Parenting is the most personal thing you can do, it is the ultimate job, and as such training helps you better understand yourself and your child.

I count myself lucky that I was fortunate to be trained as a parenting facilitator before I had children. I soon found out that the calmly though out plans into action was at times much harder than I thought.

After losing my mother to cancer I decided to start recording my experiences and ideas, to provide a record for my two girls and as encouragement to others.
